Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 August 2026
BeHabitual is a habit tracker. It needs to know who you are and which boxes you ticked. That is the entire list of things it needs, and it is close to the entire list of things it stores.
What we store
Your email address, and a display name and avatar if your sign-in provider gives us one. This is what identifies your account.
The habits you create: their name, description, category, colour, emoji, and monthly goal.
One row per habit per day you marked complete. Days you did not complete store nothing at all.
Any sleep hours and mood ratings you choose to log. Both fields are optional and the whole feature can be ignored.
What we do not store
No payment details, because there is nothing to pay for.
No location, no contacts, no device identifiers, no advertising profile.
We do not run third-party analytics or advertising scripts on this site.
Who can read it
Only you. Your records are tied to your account and isolated from every other account, and that isolation is enforced at the storage layer rather than left to application code that could forget to check.
We use reputable third-party providers to host the service and to handle sign-in. They process your data on our instructions and are bound by their own contractual and legal obligations. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
When you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address, your name, and your profile picture. Nothing else, and we ask for no further access to your Google account.
Deleting your data
Deleting a habit from the habits page removes that habit and every completion logged against it, permanently. Archiving keeps the history and only hides the habit from your daily grid.
To delete your whole account, email the address below. We remove the account and everything attached to it. Export your data from settings first if you want to keep a copy, because deletion is not reversible.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
